well, i got a chance to pop this little forkie yesterday, and passed him up. he was pretty small...ill leave him for the out of towners and wait till a little later in the season ( when they go home) and get me one a little larger...LOL

bro...they dont ha ve 1,000,000 screamin squirrel chasers (do i need say more?...i think you know who im talking about) poppin shotguns at anything that moves up here.
i usually pop the first legal deer i see each year for the meat, but i decided this year ill hold off a little wile and see if i cant scare a monster up. we can shoot forkies and sometimes 3 points anytime during season there are so many deer up here....LOL......
besides that 3 point, i also could have shot a little spike/fork just up from the house here too this morning, but he looked like hed have dressed out at about 30lbs..LOL.......
that sucker damn near looks like a whitetail or a whitetail cross dont it?...we do have a small herd of whitetail up here. some planted by DFG years ago, and some that have migrated down from oregon.......
did you get a bear tag this year?.....if so, let me know. ive got a spot setup thats got 3-4 big bear comming in a couple three times a week. one looks to be probably 500+lbs too . i got my bear tag this year, but i havent hunted bear in probably 20 years or so. i wish i knew someone with bear dogs

he was about 135lbs dressed....... i spent the day yesterday butchering and seal-a-mealin' him up. went over and checked out som e good bear huntin this morning. man, i wish id had my camera. i ran across this set o bear tracks that was the largest id ever seen,resh too, they still had the dirt fallin down in them...LOL.....i trailed them or about 2 miles and lost them. started heading back to the truck, and was walkin along, and noticed a set going the other direction towards the truck. walked along a bit and started seein them in MY TRACKS.....the sucker circled back around and was ahead o me in the road.....never did see the sucker, but heard him 3-4 times growlin down in the scrub......sort of an eerie feeling to know the suckers down there trackin YOU.....especially when his tracks measured ( no shit ) 6" across the middle o the rear,about 10" long, and the ronts were almost as big as a saucer.....the sucker was heavy enough he was leaving tracks damn near 1/4" deep in semi-hardpack loggin road.....
kent...if you aint got a bear tag, get one and come up ater deer season and ill show ya some bear sign like you aint never seen.....LOL.....i wish i knew someone with a couple of dogs,we would be able to ill them in an hour or so.....
