Some months ago Jerry Hobbs came to the East Fork and spoke to the miners there. He guessed that if SB 670 passed, it would take 6-10 years, at a minimum to affect any change in the courts, with the ban in place. However, we all know the government-once something is closed or a priviledge is taken, it never comes back.

yep, all these little mom and pop stores that rely on prospectors in the dredging areas will go under, hardly any gold will hit the market in california, so im sure that will effect our economy somewhat.

What i read from Jerry Hobbs the state doesn't control mining yet some how they have this is going to have to go to the federal level before anything changes and that's probably going to take years.

AND they could careless about small communitys look what they've done here in the San Joaquin valley whole city's destroyed becuase theres no farming going on hell we got a FARM AID concert coming to town willie and all the boys to help out the farmers who have lost everything. I would like a refund for my dredging permit, since it was rendered useless by the passage of SB 670. I was not even informed I might not be able to dredge all season when I purchased it. If I would have known this I would not have even purchased one. You can mail my refund to:
