It should find coins just fine! I cant speak to it's gold finding abilities. There is a post I posted a while back that covers gold machines pretty well IMHO. It might answer you question. You might want to go look that one up.

You get the right helmet and you'd be clearing traffic like parting the red sea. I always slow and pull over when I see a police bike coming up behind me. So do alot of other folks, as noone wants a motor cop right behind them no matter what you doing or not doing.

Those camping restrictions are pretty tough especially when they close all the campgrounds.
